I used to get regular £5 free bets from 365 but they seem to have stopped.

Anyone else still et them or is that it now?
 
They occasionally give me a £5 “bet credit” which is a free bet in most people’s language. The last time they did was December 21 I think
 
Yeah, that's what I meant: bet credits. For me they are few and far between: they're certainly not as frequent as they used to be
 
Bet365 don't close you down for winning, they just restrict your stake size and take away all your privileges.

I lost: free bets, any other freebies or bonuses, BOG and the right to back anything overnight to win more than a tenner, the best part of ten years ago.

Denise Coates clearly doesn't like me - which is a bit harsh as she's never even met me and I was taken to a few Stoke City games as a child!
 
If you imagine all the adverts and promotions from all the bookies, advertising so called 'free bets', then wonder how many clowns signed up thinking there was something free to be had, then you realise, nothing is truly free where bookmakers are concerned. It works well for them.

You're just signing an invisible contract which means you either have or have signed up to a gambling account.

If I beat the bookmaker, I'll try and do it with real hard earned cash.

Never expect anything from freebies.

They do it a lot to people who use the casinos. They fix the RTP's on the games to well under what they are supposed to be, around about 96 percent, as under law they are currently free to do so, and 'within their rights'.

They give customers the odd free bet to play on the same rigged casino.

I can't agree that it's a 'con', Ian.

Obviously the books have to reflect that money will be returned for non-runners so over-rounds hardly become relevant, and they have to price everything as if it is going to run. I can live with that.

As I said elsewhere, if you think you have something that can win whichever race it happens to go for then you have to think that somewhere down the line others will start to see what you see in the horse and the price will gradually adjust but getting the price with the safety net of your money back should things not go as you'd thought is a decent concession.

Obviously, though, there would never have been any chance of them going 4/1 Constitution Hill NRMB!

If you'd arrived from planet Uranus and Bet 365 were offering a free fiver bet NRNB for the Cheltenham Festival would you sign up though!?
 
Well, obviously!

I'd milk all the freebies off them and win as much as I could until they restricted me - pretty much the same as I did when I first signed up with them all those years ago.
 
I have a bet365 account but what I don't like is the min 5 pound bet restriction.

Ocassionally I might have an odd 2pound50p eg. and would like to stick it on something just to pass the times between bets but you can't do that, wheras with Betfair sports you can have 20p on if you like or 1 pound on the exchange
 
I have a bet365 acc and was my bookie of choice until 9 years since I was restricted to approx. £10 take out unless it was just before the off.
 
I must be living some sort of charmed life reading the above posts as the only restriction I’m aware of is £10 on super boosts. However there may be others I’m unaware of as I don’t often try to stake more than £20 on any one bet.

In fact I did end up staking £250 each way a few years ago when I forgot to put in a decimal point (intended bet was £2.50 ew)
The manager I eventually spoke to agreed to cancel the bet as I argued it was completely different to my normal staking patterns and they shouldn’t have taken the bet anyway as it was more than my balance. Fortunately the bag fell two out when looking like at least placing at 40/1.

Since that episode Denise has funded a family holiday and I continue to maintain a significant balance with 365 (I realise leaving money in bookmaker accounts may not be the best strategy but at least I don’t get tiresome affordability checks that way)
 
They used to let your profit get to £8,000 net before restricting you but my guess is they've tightened up since sending me the old "we have reviewed your account and...." email some years ago.
 
I had a monkey on Constitution Hill st 5/4 with Bet365 and had a couple of bets since...no mention of restrictions. Can't for the life of me understand a 10 pound max takeout when the min bet is 5 pounds??????? So you can't bet a 4/1 shot???? Makes no sense

My min bet is not £5, I just tried 10p as something stupid low and it allowed me to do that for a win single

I'd taken more than £8k off them over the years before I got put on the naughty step, I keep the account going with occasional small bets in case they one day have a change of heart. They binned me after a particularly good win but after that I had a hideous losing run but they missed out getting that money back
 
I just tried again but got the same message 5 pound min bet. Maybe it's because of my location as I apparently bet under Australian rules...no big deal as I only use the account when. It's beneficial to me rather than backing one on the exchange
