The Freedom Of Information Act comes into force on January 1st. In the USA similar legislation has been in effect for decades. I have been reading some of the stranger requests for information that have been received by the CIA. I thought that I would share this one with you.
"I have reason to believe that I was one of the men involved in the sexual behaviour alteration programmes of the CIA. During 1953, I noted a marked surge of personal sexual activity, which continued until about 1962. (This corresponded roughly to the time of the CIA experiments which had just been made public) In the fifteen years since that time, my sex drive has diminished sharply. As a loyal American, I do not wish to make any difficulty for your agency as a result of having been used as an unwitting subject. Rather it is my desire to learn the type of drug used on me and to determine where I may purchase more of it. My wife is aware of this letter and approves of my request."
