Another scorcher today. Let's hope my one selection runs a scorcher. too.
High Wells - 3.25 Nottingham - 22/1 Ew Unpl
Amazing really. Came there cruising and then just fizzled out. The reason I backed him was that he was Lbs better in with Alpine Stroll on a line through Gyenyame so, with AS in the lead, I was rubbing my hands when my one came to challenge 2f out. Even though he's won over 2m before, this was either aa classic sign of a horse who doesn't stay or a slowly - run race and he was done for toe. Ah, checking the time of the race, it was over 8secs slower than standard which would suggest a crawl but comparing it with other race times on the card, it seems not. In which case i would say non stayer and it wouldn't surprise me if they reverted back to 1m 6f.
Here's an older horse racing against mostly 3yo's. I think the current 22/1 is just very overpriced and am happy to put him up as a lively ew shot.
