Lounge Lizard - 7.40 Aintree 5/1 Ew
It has seemed to me that this fellow is a natural jumper and stayer and is capable of landing a really good handicap. Also that he's a strapping lad with lots to develop.
I'm delighted to have benefitted from his progress thus far and, surprised as I am to see him out again, I shall trust trainer Daly to know what he's doing and see no reason not to follow him in again.
This will be his sternest test yet. Not only on account of the class of race and highest ever OR, but most crucially, the Mildmay fences, imo some of the trickiest and underestimated obstacles to be found.
Just by-the-by, I've got a couple going tomorrow from my notebook and will have a small Ew bet on:
Arthur's Realm - 2.05 Newbury 22/1 Ew
Mossbawn - 40/1 Ew.
