"This was a really nice prep run and looked like he’s coming to hand. Will go down maybe 2Lbs for this and is now on a good mark. Steady, unhurried progress with a sensitive jockey. Surely primed. Has won mostly 7f. Likes top of the ground?"
After a notebook entry like that, he has to be backed for this. He did, indeed drop another 2Lbs after that, which is good (Now 4Lbs lower than lwr). The booking of Alice Keighly in this amateurs' race looks intriguing, too. She's had just just 14 runs in this, her first season and has won on 6 of them. Some record, eh? For trainer Barron, she's notched up 4 wins from 8 runs. Even better.
On the book Persuasion might have some Lbs to make up with Able Kane but when they met it was on the softer ground and persuasion was eased when his chance had gone. Tomorrow's good ground will be more suitable so I'm looking for big run here.
