Algometer in the Gordon Stakes on Wednesday is mine.....
This one is a course winner at Goodwood in a Derby trial who ran well in 7th at Epsom.

Price has gone on Dutch Connection and The Gurkha but Muthmir is worth an investment in the King George stakes at 7s. Fingers crossed the weather holds.

Algometer in the Gordon Stakes on Wednesday....

A course winner at Goodwood in a Derby trial who then out-ran his odds at Epsom. I can't see anything in the opposition to be scared of apart from possibly Platitude and Ed Dunlop's improver Manjaam (also entered in a handicap on Tuesday), but I'm still keen on Algometer.

Martin, battle has commenced in the comp so don't give the enemy good tips!

Ireland might be a small threat and the others are battling amongst themselves, but tips like this might give them hope.

Watersmeet (2.00) The choice of ride for Joe Fanning will appreciate quicker ground and given the trainers propensity to have his horses fit as a flea for this meeting that I expect Fanning to bounce out from the front and use the gelding's proven stamina to grind them down.

I was sweet on Dessertoflife earlier in the year at Chester, could go well tomorrow imo.

A fantastic finish in the first, especially if you had it. :)

Strange ride by Jim Crowley on Red Rannagh in the first race at Goodwood. First race since an all-weather run in January, that being his first run over here after racing in Ireland last year, slowly away and way out the back for the first mile and then running on well. Very eye-catching but whether he can progress from this is anyone's guess.

Dragon Mall very unlucky not to get a clear run, finished like a train, didn't come well out the stalls either. In the tracker.

Orion's Bow had the speed to take it up after 4f at Newcastle, and the stamina to go clear in a strongly run 6 on soft ground at Hamilton. Facile win at Catterick shows today's track should hold no terrors, and he's the bet of the week for me, (which probably means he'll be tailed off, on recent history).

Master Blueyes another one that wouldn't have won but still got squeezed all over the shop, in the tracker.

The end of the week was **** but from the King George onwards I had four consecutive winners. Only the second time that has happened in my punting career.
