It's a very quiet betting day other than betting EU like an odds-on shot.

I'm only interested in two other races, the 1.50 and the 3.00.

In the 1.50, Palace Green is my bet. He was repeatedly denied a clear run last time in one of the hottest races of the Ascot festival and I have conservatively rated him as dead-heating for third but he might have done better than that. I don’t think Murphy will be looking back on that ride with any pride and he’ll want to make amends here. He was 15/2 when I picked him out the other night but I didn't back it. The best I could get today was 9/2.

In the 3.00 I've taken 9/2 Sayedaty Sadaty. I don’t think Jan Brueghel should be favourite let alone odds on so looked elsewhere. The obvious ones are Bellum Justum and Sayedaty Sadaty with marginal preference for the latter as he ran the better in the Derby.

I've also taken these three in a three-cross in case I get lucky.
