It was great to meet Dims and her very impressive camera(s) - I am really looking forward to seeing her photos!

It was a very good day for us as new kids on the block - the herd is only really a couple of years old and the best part was that the two who won were home-breds. And one of those went on to be Reserve Female Champion to the heifer that pipped Wee Lass, so that wan't too bad... The judge spent an age trying to decide between Wee Lass and the other heifer, which wasn't surprising as they were both Tamhorns (ie bred by Mr Wyllie, Tamhorn BBs) and both by the same sire.

Because we had two heifers challenging for Best Female, I had to borrow a white showing coat and get in there - bit different to showing dogs or yearlings, I can tell you! Anyway, much to my surprise, it was the one I was showing he picked in the challenge! Hah!

Anyway, we had a lovely day and have come home tired and happy!
