I might have had a 33/1 horse in a sweepstake, but I can’t recall ever having backed one! Not going to find out how Desert’s Mountain Peak went because he doesn’t go.
Anyway I’ve really said it all on the thread because there’s only three of interest today and they are all skinny prices.
2:15 Array - something always likely to jump out of the woodwork in these races - and there are some top stable ones in here - but they will have to be pretty good to beat Array who had a good debut run at Newbury. Didn’t have a chance with the more experienced winner, but finished well clear of the rest - third has won since - despite not being given a hard time. Very skinny price for the type of race, though.
4:00 Kinross - who was just pipped in this last year and won it the year before had a good prep in the July Cup behind Shaquille at Newmarket. It would be asking something to go 1,2,1 in the race, but he’s a solid performer and will like the give in the ground. Again very skinny.
4:35 Courage Mon Ami - he has only had four races and it was a tremendous performance for a horse so inexperienced to beat seasoned campaigners in the Ascot Gold Cup. Most of them re-oppose and unless the race made its mark on CMA I can’t see them reversing the form. If I can get 2/1, maybe 7/4, it’s a worthwhile bet I think.
