The real racing takes place at Auteuil today and I've had to fill my boots full of Grand Crus at a shade over 2's on Betfair. Ground and trip ahould be perfect and the only horses within a half-stone are doubtful stayers. If the Pipe's have had this as a genuine target rather than an after-thought, he should win comfortably. Bel La Vie commands respect, but this looks like a fitness outing before he reverts to chasing in the autumn.

Backed Portals Toy at 50's each-way Grassy, a return to anything like his 2009 form on his first trip to Auteuil in a while will see him in the shake up surely back up in trip.

You were the first person I thought of when I saw him confirmed for the race, Martin. Still can't let go, I see :D

Very true Grassy - still think 50's is far far too big for him, be interesting to see Tanais Du Chenet over fences too, she's been very very disappointing over hurdles this season.

After Quevega won at Punchestown Willie Mullins was asked about Quevega going for the WH with Mourad, he said with a smile 'no I have another one for that', a good chance he meant Thousand Stars?

THey played completely into his hands by crawling for the first 2 miles

I think the winning of the race was Ruby taking a wide path then taking a lead off Grands Crus with a mile to run.

Gearoid-I took 15/2 with Ladbrokes -Pmu around 5/1.
