Guantanamo Suicides

I don't understand how you can hold people without trial, or even hope of a trial for years and years. If they've commited a crime then put them on trial, but just holding them forever is wrong.

And illegal under any convention or laws in any democracy. If it were any other country can you imagine the reaction? But sadly for the world as a whole this current US administration is the classic playground bully who is twice the size of the other boys and girls.

The British Government had a similar policy in Northern Ireland for years, so it's no surprise.

Why, Brian? The European Court of Human Rights considered what went on as torture, only for the language of their ruling to be modified on appeal.

The constant failure of governments to learn anything from the past is just bewildering.

Apologies, Colin. If a mod wants to remove my posts to keep the discussion on the topic of Guantanamo, feel free.
