I used to take my rats out for walks - they used to sit under my jacket snuggles up on my shoulder - got a few funny looks if I stopped to chat to people cos they always used ot want to know who it was and a nose would suddenly appear....

they loved going out in the car too - Id strap the cage onto the front seat and the pair of them would climb to the top shelf and look out the window - their favourite thing was if I had te window open!

I had a lot of Hammys as a youngster, but they arent very squishable, so when we got young visitors that didnt understand you cant squeeze a hamster....
