Happy Easter one and all.

Just polished off a large glass of bucks fizz before breakfast. Six and a half weeks off the bevvy come to a delicious conclusion.
 
Rather impressive 100 year commemoration of the Easter 1916 rebellion against our heartless and violent oppressors of 700 years is underway in sunny Dublin.

Heavens above there is a BBC programme on in which Mrs Brown boasts of three of his uncles being involved in the Easter Rising - what Padraig Pearse would have made of Mrs Brown's Boys I cannot imagine .
 
In a time where good people strive for peace and innocent people are being murdered by muslim extremists at the hands of ISIS, what kind of people celebrate something that led to the deaths of thousands?

There is a school of thought among modern historians that Pearse may not have been too averse to a bit of t'oul cross dressing himself.
