Happy New Year!

I am typing this from a lovely hotel on a cliff face in gale blown Devon. We are off to a party at the hotel tonight and to see in the New Year.

I am typing this from Kates cess-pit of a bedroom, listening to 70 mile an hour winds ( at least!) and a LOT of rain and thinking that I might not bother going out tonight after all..... :lol:

Just got in after a lovely evening in the Hyatt here in Brum. The view was great and the fireworks were amazing.
 
I hope everyone had a really good time last night, I couldn't wait to see the back of 2006, nothings gone right for me all year, its been bad news after bad news. At least i've got a something to look forward to as my bf proposed on the chimes and i accepted :wub:

Congratulations LE :D Mr GGs youngest brother got engaged to his boyfriend last night which was a nice surprise!
 
All happiness to you both, Love E, and Mr GG junior and pardner! Spent it with a small band of the inmates in the communal lounge, nice music thanks to American crooners, plenty of grub, a dainty amount of wine (you sure notice who are the old tankers), and escorted my 93 y.o. neighbour home at 2.30! Various fireworks were spied from our roof garden, nothing really magnificent, but pleasing enough. A lovely bright morning today, getting overcast and now raining, but not cold. Smashing!

:o Let’s just hope its... LOVE EVERLASTING!!!!! Congratulations, both, from here in the principality, maybe some Welsh love spoons would be the order of the day :) ;)
