Boys - have you forgotten? I hope not, for your love life's sake! :(

Tomorrow is February 14, which is St Valentine's Day, when you're supposed to show your :<3::<3: to your wife/girlfriend or wife and girlfriend, so make sure you don't show up without a suitable gift. No, that isn't the RP's Guide to the Flat 2011, either!

Have a super day/evening, lovebirds!

My other half buys me flowers quite a lot & a few years ago when Valentines day started becoming just too commercial we chose not to buy each other anything & with the money we would have spent we donate to a charity instead, we stay at home & cook a nice meal together,

Perhaps not very traditional but it makes us feel good & hopefully the money helps someone else out too

All commercial radio/tv/media entities aside, does anyone REALLY treat this seriously?? It's another Hallmark holiday, promoted entirely for commercial profit. Jesus, even Steve Wright on R2 this morning was providing a 'guide' to single people for Valentine's day and bemoaning how distressing it is for single folk who are desperately 'looking for love' - is it really???? Is anyone that distraught over being single on Valentine's Day, or any other day???? Why is being single treated like a disease that must be rectified????

I treat the girlfriend to whatever she wants, flowers, chocolates, bubbly, nice meal, the works. The wife on the other hand....

I'm never distraught about being single and I don't remember ever getting a St Val's prez from any of the past glories, either. But really, what's the big deal about it? People get so freakin' overcooked about everything these days!

Just enjoy it or, if it's not for you, let others enjoy it. It's harmless enough - just like Christmas, Easter, Diwali, the Eids, Passover, Guy Fawkes, New Year, the Cheltenham Festival...

I've got the card, dozen red roses, box of chocs - milk tray (her favs) and will have a meal ready for when she comes in from work - Oh and 2 tickets for Fulham v Chelsea as she's a Fulham fan and hasn't been to a game for years

Just be careful not to mix the cards up, otherwise the girlfriend will think that you love her and the wife will think that you want sex.
