That was one of the things I loved about Italy, Kathy - I had the pleasure of joining an English couple and their son visiting an Italian family in Genoa, years ago.  I was amazed that we were eventually around 20 people for lunch, from the grumpy old gran in her black dress, to naughty Manuelito, age 7, who peed into a fountain!  No-one seemed to correct the kids, they were all indulged and fussed, and yet Manuelito's grown into a super young man today.  I loved the idea of this all-including family, which we've so often lost in the UK.  I had a wonderful time, and our Italian hosts were so hospitable.  And a bit of romance didn't go amiss, either!   :luv:
