My PC will now not let me into Oddschecker. Whether I attempt to get in directly through the bookmark in my favourites or type the URL in I now get the dialogue box that you only normally see when trying to open dodgy files!

You know the one:

File Download

Some files can harm your computer. If the information below
looks suspicious, or you do not fully trust the source, do not open or
save this file.

File name: oddschecker

File type:

From: www.oddschecker.com

Would you like to open this file or save it to your computer?

Then there are the four boxes to click - Open - Save - Cancel - More Info

Clicking on none of these helps.

It's driving me bananas - can anyone help, please?

What worked for me once was getting rid of the http:// at the start and just putting in the URL starting with www.

Are there any other sites that's giving you similar problems? One possibility is that something has changed the way Internet Explorer is dealing with web pages and files that have no extension (such as the oddschecker.com ones).

To see if this is the problem, can you try going directly to:

http://www.oddschecker.com/index.html

(make sure the .html extension is included)
