Heya,
I hope someone can help me, i've been playing various racing games online for a while and well during this time i've bene in touch with a particular girl who's become a good friend of mine. Owing to various circumstances (drug abuse of her mother, violent parents etc.) she's been spending a large amount of time on the streets - in gangs, sleeping rough etc. and with me being well to put it bluntly middle-class this has upset me a lot given that we've become patricularly close this past year and i care about her alot (not least as she's a few years younger than me) and quite possibly one of the few women i actually trust.
Anyway she lives in a partiuclar town which has a large racing stable in South Carolina in the USA and i worry about her a lot due to the mentioned things and that if i ttell people she thinks she'll be attacket.

I really don't know wot to do aside to tell her to move house and run away!

Martin, be careful. It's the internet. I assume you have more tangible evidence of the authenticity of the situation. It may not be a good idea to send any assets.

Martin, I was talking to her earlier, she said you have to send her $2000 and that I have to take it to her personally. PM me for my address.

Martin, I strongly agree with An Capall's warning. Take An's advice (yeah, just this once, please!) and treat her very warily. She could be accessing the net from jail, or just fooling around for her own fun. Above all, dearest, do NOT send money or personal details. Above all, do not send money!

If she really has serious home problems, and she asks you to help her, suggest she should speak to her local Social Care office to see what they can do to help her. It will be fairly unbelievable if she reports that there's nothing they can do.

Sorry if we sound negative, but that's the advice we have for you.

I find it increasingly unbelievable what the internet can do to people.
You say she has become a very close friend MArtin. So have you spoken to her? Have you met her? How can she become a close friend?
The fact that she says she'll get attacked if you tell anyone is indicative of her existence being a load of b***sh**!
Sorry mate, but you ought to see through this one easily.

Well, that's refreshing nowadays, Martin, when even young people can be too cynical! Don't worry - we all live and learn through our experiences. ;)

Oh, yes, since you mentioned it, Merlin: that'll be £25, please, Martin! :D
I trust that some of you will be putting in an appearance at Newbury where i will be signing autographs - worth more than £25 sometime in the future (i hope)

You will all be sorry when the girl's dead.
