For those who haven't seen it, "Last Orders" is on BBC1 at 10.15 tonight. A gentle, humourous British film brilliantly cast and superbly acted. If you're unable to watch it, set the video (or recordable DVD). Those who refuse to watch BBC, get someone to tape it for you - that won't count.

I feared this might be A party to remember . Frim the five minutes I saw this was an insult to veterans .

Nope - Clint Eastwood for the nth time for me. Josey Wales is as near as dammit William Munny in 'Unforgiven', but I just love these films. Again, and again, and again...

I watched this (strictly on your recommendation & was knackered this morning) - it was a beautiful piece - and I sobbed nicely at the end! So nice to watch something gentle & brilliantly acted from some of our finest. Also a nostalgic moment for my b'f as the shots around Chatham & the monument are where he spent his childhood.
