Uncanny, I know someone who has a dung beetle called Backandlay
...which just proves that my viral marketing campaign is working - the name backandlay is appearing everywhere and yet I still haven't spent a penny on marketing.

Gerbil?????????? He is a chinchilla and is faster than the guinea pig owned by an capall called Sinndar.

Get over it Ted FF was nowhere and they lost the Mince Pie Comp a bad December for the FFers

To be a forum mascot, I recommend your chosen animal has some (or preferably all) of the following attributes:-

Feisty
Cute
Playful
Intelligent
and above all can type as a forum mascot must be able to contribute to the forum in a positive manner - even if their owner can't. B)

Right, how many of your chosen contenders can now be ruled out! :D

Brian, 1 out of a possible 5 is not a high enough score I'm afraid to be Talking Horses' mascot! B)

Next......

Sorry Brian, I just realised there are 6 critera not 5, as the mascot has to an animal. So well done for getting 2 out of a possible 6! :D

I don't think they would have you . The expense on mental health services would bankrupt them

Hold on just a second there - a dog which is feisty and playful. Does that mean if you keep the ball too long it bites you!!!! :D

Well, without doubt, I reckon I've more contenders for the Forum Mascot than anyone else on here... the list is endless!

However, Blue Cow is sadly living on a knife edge as I write this, as she is currently a 'downer cow'.

She was in season on Wednesday and our Limousin bull, Spot, obviously did what he was meant to and jumped her - unluckily, it was first thing in the morning, the yard was icy and she slipped very badly and couldn't get up. We've managed to get her into the barn on a deep litter bed and it's touch and go as to whether she'll recover or not - her pelvis may just have massive bruising or it may be fractured...

We're using a hoist sytem every day to try to encourage her to her feet and she's on massive anti-inflammatories and pain-killers and time is now the only option.

It's common knowledge I adore this particular bovine - she's got so much character and is particularly pretty, as Jon will confirm! She's always boss of the herd and we run all the youngstock with her, as we can then move them anywhere around the farm, as she comes to call and they follow her. She always raises another calf along with her own and while it sounds particularly pathetic and barmy, she's a one-off and I am really hoping that she isn't a terminal case. If she does survive, she'll continue to have a life of luxury.
