What's bizarre (is that your buzzword of the week, clivex?) is that you don't see any inherent double standard in demanding that all incoming people behave within the laws binding this country, while you don't - it would appear - vex your brain about the British habit of breaking the laws of others, often in the guise of having their version of a good time, but also deliberately - drug dealers in Spain, as one very minor example. I'm sure the Spanish hope that incomers will behave legally, too, but as a fact they don't, so why would all incomers here?

So it's bizarre that you'd expect incomers to be perfect in every way, while our media are full of accounts of our own appalling wrongdoing, yet you and Ted expect them all to be saints? And what do you think they're going to do, anyway, as you let them in - expect them to admit they're going traffick women and set up drugs cartels if you quiz them as to their future behaviour? Laughably naif.
