Sorry no horses just me!! Got invited (with BlazingWalker) to the sponsors box for the day (champers, food and great company although no winners!).

Had the surprise of my life when the sponsor asked me to present the prize to the winning connections in the third race! Had to have hat on though - was raining and very very breezy :)

Blazing is the one who took this ;) The official photographer is the one whose sholder is looking over hehe

Is that Blazer on the right?? Or the bloke trying to look casual lolling on the rails?

Always better having me behind the camera Kri than in front don't want to break the lens!:ninja:

Great day (bar the lack of winners:whistle:) but hugely informative. Some nice sorts but some of them just couldn't get home on the ground & poor old Kinkeel was out on his feet near the end.

Also,it was the 4th race you presented the prize for Mrs!;)

I adore KINKEEL - I love his neat and tidy jumping and the way he just sets his own pace, in spite of whatever his pilot's ideas might be. Poor wee dear, he'll have given his all, only to be disappointed.

I've had the pleasure of meeting Ballydoyle at Lingers - time for another visit, madam!

(I know what you mean about being in shot, Blazer - most snappers don't have time to change over to a wide-angle lens for one of me, luckily.)

Yeah I realised just now it was the fourth not third but can I put it down to excitement?!

K - def!! Although perhaps when its not a torrential thunderstorm a la Brighton?!

Just watched the replay with KINKEEL in it - dear old sausage, Mattie must've thought of a nice round of applause, only for the 11 y.o. mare to come up and ding him in the last few yards. Grrrr!

Omigod - I know! That was an incredible day - but we seem to have to have a mad day at least once every season - rolling sea fog, lashing monsoons, or howling winds. Or, if we're really lucky, all three!

I've never been to Huntingdon - my grandpa was stationed there for a bit in the last war, acting as a navy liaison with the US 8th Airforce, I think, but sadly it's not somewhere I've visited. I have this idea that it's probably quite rural - hunting country and nice villages?

I like Huntingdon - been there three times with horses, and its a nice place (though a long lead up!) Mike was there today - hes been there 6 times now, and its been called off 4 of them !!!
