At the Start
It's been awhile since I've fancied a horse so strongly I felt the need to start a thread about it but I reckon The Hollow Bottom is an outstanding bet at 14/1 in the 6.35 Southwell tonight.
On the face of it, The Hollow Bottom is regressive and has plenty to prove. However, despite his failure to complete, he put in a much improved display over 3m1f at Towcester last time, travelling well throughout before patently failing to get up the hill. His jockey realised he was running on empty and didn't give him a hard time.
Today, he's back over 2m4f on a flat left-handed track which is ideal for him.
Relkeel Jnr and I are making are first ever visits to the track (it is number 40 for me and number 15 for him - not a bad tally for a 2yo).
Other fancies on the card are Bill's Echo (6.05), Rien A Perdre (7.05), Lady Soughton (7.35), Pickworth (8.05) and Barnhill Brownie (8.35).
