My son is about to move and has bought a new plasma screen TV. He has a terrific television at present which he plans to put on eBay but if anyone on here would like it and can pick it up from an address in Putney it's a real bargain. He has also offered it to friends so it may disappear quickly.

"My huge TV is for sale. It's still in excellent working order - and looks and sounds great - but I've got my heart set on a plasma screen for the new place. I plan to put it on EBay, but thought I'd give close friends an early 'heads up'.

It's a Toshiba 40" rear projection set with a built-in Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound processor. It comes complete with rear speakers and stands. And, because I'm a generous sort, I'll even throw in a Pioneer (Region 1) DVD player.

All this for £300!

Actually, this is a rather good idea. Why don't we have a stickied 'Items Wanted/Items for Sale' section, where we mention things we're looking for, and can offer items we want to flog to our august forumites first?

Permit me to offer: one bedroom retirement flat for the over-60s in central Brighton in regenerated, funky, fashionable North Laine area, 5 minutes normal walk to seafront; 25 minutes with Zimmer. In clean and tidy condition, shower cubicle, d.g., kit. appliances, communal roof garden, lounge, laundry room, car parking. Onsite manager and Carecall system. Treat yer granny to the seaside for £110,000 or a neat deal for cash. ;)

I've got a cracking Ford Mondeo 2 litre Ghia (89k miles) with MOT and Tax til mid 2006. I'm happy to give it away for £875, just because my partner picks up her new Focus today and we don't need three cars.

We did have on one on the other boards - a section 'For Sale/Wanted' - maybe Col wouldn't mind starting up a separate section for this again?

I've three, unused and ready to go (in field) foals - good wheels, engines and clean paintwork - two in brown, one in a fetching orange. Offered for viwing next week at Newmarket..... Sure to go well in 2007 for aspiring owners.

Who needs eBay?

I have a 4-bedroomed bungalow in East Ewell, Surrey (only approx 6 miles from Lord H) that is desperate for a new owner. A mere snip for £480k or near offer.

I had an interior designer around on Tuesday who thinks with a lick of paint, and a new kitchen and bathroom I could sell for a lot more next Spring. Therefore it is a bargain, if you can complete before Christmas. B)

I'm sure you look just fine as you are, Kathy B)

I need more than a lick of paint DO. Nothing a very good plastic surgeon couldn't put right though. :nerd:

Is it in my garden?

Can anybody flog me a MPV in which to cart around my increasing brood for a pittance please? :D Will part exchange for a Mark 1 VW Golf Karmen Clipper Cabriolet in dark metallic blue?

Have you thought of keeping the Golf and putting some of the kids on eBay?
No, I love the kids but hate his car  Mr GG has the honour of inheriting my Vauxhall Astra Estate :D He bought his silly little boys car just before we got together and it's been useless to anyone but him ever since. You can't fit anything bigger than a bog roll in the tiny boot, so can't take it shopping. Can't fit three kids in it, so four is a definite no no. It's bloody freezing in the winter and messes up your hair in the summer.

It is however the perfect vehicle for a single man

That was an incredible bargain for whoever bought the TV! I thought I'd spotted one a couple of weeks back, 32 inch Sony LCD (I think!) for £179, until I realised that was the price of the stand...

Yes, that disused "shed" in your garden that you condemned some years back is actually now my house Brian. <_<

:)

It's a Lord Hartigan shed! Allowing me to use his name alone probably added £479,550.00 to the asking price.

  I'm surprised Lord Aitch hasn't made you an offer you couldn't resist for cash, Kathy, just to take it off your hands out of the kindness of his heart. And to put his overflow guests in during those Ascot weekend house parties...

... to which none of us on here seem to get invited... <_<
