I'm daydreaming but if I won the lottery I would first of all go to the Costellos and buy any promising foals . Then I'd buy a great NH mare like Solerina  Any price . I'd start my own breeding operation , buy a farm and one of those live in horse transporters  What would you do ?

I'd buy Solerina before you did, then make you pay over the odds if you still wanted her

:lol:Charge what you like Mo .

I'd want more than one horse! I'd like a promising chaser type like Bob Bob Bobbin, Racing Demon or Our Ben, a nice hurdler like Faasel, plus a decent NH broodmare to breed from (obviously I can't have Solerina now so maybe Like-a-Butterfly would do) and I'd also try to buy Seebald just because he's my favourite horse.

How much have I won?!!!

isn't the world so cruel . I would seriously put my life savings on a Solerina foal but how can us mortals afford that

I would probably buy 20 yearlings at around £20,000 each, just then you know you have a chance of winning most of the cost of each one back.

But if just one horse then probably a nice stallion like Bahamian Bounty just to get the stallion fees each year that they make. :D

That's not a bad plan fudge . I nominate you as head of my Flat stable  We;ll have to buy footsteps of course but I would still like Rob Roy . I think the ground was against him

You can't have Rob Roy as well as Solerina, Michelle - I've already got first refusal on him! He's make a cracking eventer! But of course you may ride him on the condition he only competes when there is givein the ground!

That's a deal Jinny . Any other suggestions for our lotto millions ? Why don't we all go off to the South of France for a week ?

This is a game I play at work all the time especially when researching the foals and yearlings

I'd buy up to ten mares from good sturdy families - a mixture of black type and a high proportion of runners and winners to foals through the first three dams - send them to stallions that owner/breeders can take risks with (which commercial breeders can't) and race the progeny

I'd buy Silver Patriarch from the National Stud and market him correctly

And I'd buy Hurricane Floyd - who can't be worth more than £30 anyway - so that he has a happy life somewhere as a hack and the Nayef foal I met a couple of weeks ago that wouldn't stop following me around the farm

I'd buy some average American 10f dirt horse and win the Winter Derby with him, then sell him on straight afterwards when everyone thinks he's the next Pegasus.

Dave G............that island wouldn't stay peaceful for long....you would have regular views of Thommo and Boy Band...............fuses would soon be be blown.

Win the lottery...........which horse?.............. the BLOODY lot of them, just to insure that the butchers that masquerade as jockeys wouldn't get any rides.

Seriously, what I would do, is set up a retirement home for any unwanted horse.

Not sure how long the money would last but I would have no qualms about going through it.

...or you could always take in Southern Spain & come see me instead! B)

I'd rather buy stores than foals; you've got more of an idea how they are going to turn out physically as they are that much more mature. I'd go to Ireland to one of the big sales, Goffs probably, & buy a bunch of nicely bred store horses. I'd go to Donny & Tatts Sales too to pick up a few & have a go at training them myself over the sticks - the stores I'd send to a decent trainer though, wouldn't want to f**k them up myself!!!

I'd be happy to have Hurricane Floyd as a hack/lead horse, though.

Seriously - I am in need of the above, so if anybody knows one floating around looking for a home, please get in touch.

It needs to be a gelding - very sensible - non-spooky & not kick.

After a trip to Vegas and finding a hitman too knock off Jack Osbourne and Peter Andre i`d buy a couple of choice yearlings at Keeneland.

I'd get so drunk, I'd wake up married to a horse...with a pony left in my pocket...

Ah, you're going to race in the USA then, are you?

You'd need to win more than the lottery would pay to buy that one!!!!!! And it's only the one 'd' in Sadler's.... :P
