Others have changed their name recently where they used their full name Gearoid, and I followed suit.

You're more than welcome to change your name.

Not sure why this bothers you. Is it me or the name? :cool:

Somewhere at the back of my memory I seem to recall there were rules about it in the T&C's that you all agreed to when registering?

Periodically it has been necessary to agree a name change (even if one of the recent people still has an IT default set up that signs off with their first name at the bottom of any racing report they issue;)) but I seem to think that a good reason had to be provided before a change of name was agreed and issued? For reasons of continuity it would obviously be disruptive for everyone to suddenly decide they wanted a name change, even though the temptation to start again afresh might have some appeal:).

As things stand, Gareth is the only person other than Col who can change a name, and I think the request has to go to him. I'm not 100% certain that you have to provide a reason, but I seem to recall that you do? Equally, I'm pretty certain that 'i fancied a change' isn't acceptable, neither is X has had a name change so I want one.

I want to change my name to Sheikhy Claus. I'm a big Christmas fan and I want to spread the good word. Is that a good reason ?

Easy to know I didn't get laid last night. Monday nights are not what they were.....
 
I'd imagine not getting laid in Cork would be a good thing if the girl would be of the Cork variety.
