29 horses over a straight mile how exciting is that.i love it.
I have rather a long short list.horses I have put up on here amongst them.
RIPP ORF has an obvious chance but hes too short for me on his form really.
I put ZAP up for the race at newmarket won by VALE OF KENT but he didnt run well but he is very well hcapped and at 50/1 I will have to have a small bet,wont I.
But to cut a long story short I've done 4.
VALE OF KENT and LAKE VOLTA both 20/1.i said I was going to follow VoK all season and hes already won for me and I've backed LV for the stewards cup but it's interesting to see Ryan Moore back on it.from the newmarket race he has managed to get dropped 3lb and so he is 3lb better off with all and 5lb better with VOK.
So does look to have a good chance.
But my main two are big price outsiders,both 40/1
ÀNOTHER BATT I was looking at the Lincoln and there he finished 6th.out the back he had to go all the way round the field.
Hes 7lb lower now thanks to two poor runs on soft going and has moved from George Scott to Richard Hughes.
The other is my old favourite KIMIFIVE.
He used to run over 6f and on his first run over 7 at goodwood he trotted up at 20/1(nice) he hasnt run badly since.
He ran 7th in the Victoria cup and is better off with all the others that run in it.
He also ran a decent race at the curragh considering he was ridden by Ryan Moore.lol
So those are mine,what is yours.
I know Marble likes ADMIRALITY but I'm not certain of being drawn 1.
 
I backed Makzeem at 16/1 5 Places yesterday (missed 18 as I faffed about trying to get the bet on with Hills instead).

Won well LTO and gets in here 3lb well in following a 3lb penalty for last week. I was initially slightly concerned over his poor position in this last year until I watched the race back numerous times. Held up he was travelling strongly when he tried to come from the back of the field at around the same time as eventual 3rd Rip Orrf (3lb better off with that rival this year.) He lost all chance when they tried to take the same gap and was then eased right off when seemingly still full of running.

Man of the moment Jason Watson strikes me as the sort of jockey who could excel on this horse so I’m happy to see him retain the ride (Moore rode in this last year). Previous Ascot form is good and any rain that falls will suit.

He’s off 101 tomorrow and ran the race of his life in the 7f Handicap on Champions day in 2017 when off 103 he finished 4th behind Accidental Agent (gave 1lb), Lord Glitters (gave 1lb) and Raising Sand (gave 5lb yet receives 2lb tomorrow). Quite simply a repeat of that run could see him take this with something to spare.

He neds things to go his way from stall 3 with his style of running but I’m confident of a big run.

Weather warning for ascot tomorrow.torrential rain is forecast tomorrow until Sunday.

Admirality has a good each way chance. Surprise rain may work to his advantage. He is a big burly horse who got beat by a smaller horse in Vale Of Kent for speed at the business end in the Bunbury Cup. So since then I've suspected testing conditions over 7F is perfect, as it should take the sting/speed out of other dangers. A big field is not a problem.

With heavy rain forecast for most flat racing tomorrow (only Chester and Salisbury deemed to escape the worst of it) the likely state of the ground is really in the lap of the gods.
For those who need to study the form beforehand, I'd suggest that Newcastle should ride a little quicker than normal, and the well-drained Ascot straight might not be too severely affected. Other than that;you pays your money and takes your chance.
Good luck with it all, though I'll probably content myself watching Enable sluice up - whatever the ground.
 
In recent seasons, I selected Ripp Orf when he won a big handicap last season under Hayley Turner, and Vale Of Kent as a horse to follow.

I tipped up Kaeso at 40/1 when third early this season in a similar event.

It's just a shame I can't back them all today!!!

I'm sticking with Admirality.

Well done with admirality marb,good 5th and kaeso ran a cracker.
I was happy with my two outsiders who finished 8th and 10th and got my money back on the race with
Kimifive 20/1 10 places,

I'm still waiting to hear news about Paddy Tworney's Decrypt.

In the Irish 2000 Guineas he was half a length behind Too Darn Hot (evens fav for the Sussex Stakes) but Decrypt not been seen since.

Come on Paddy,, find him a race.

Keep him going as a 4yo too.

Nigel Tinkler is having some season -going back a few years I was having my max bet place laying one of his horses nearly every time it ran-stable is really punching above its weight these days.

How far you going back Luke.i can remember a Nigel Tinkler in the 80s who run Full circle racing.
This Nigel must be his son I would think.hes certainly better.
 
Same trainer but he's still only running at 11% and this is best ever season,has had one or two decent horses group winners and festuval winners but been training for 37 years!
 
Too short to bet today was Khafoo Shemeni for me..

There should me mileage in his price for future contests.
Celebration Mile at the end of August looks a good place to start.

I still think he's a good horse.

Only second start of the season.

Taking time to find top gear.

No consolation to those who backed him today, mind. :(
