The big cheese was "not well-served by his staff", did he appoint his staff?

He's been made look an absolute fool, that's for sure. He seems only interested that he's been cleared of lying, apparantly oblivious to the fact that the alternative is to look utterly incompetant.

This Hayman character seems a right sinister piece of work, though.
