Id have a liking for Shane Foley for this, although his chance has been lessoned by Fran getting more rides at Harringtons now hes needed less at Oxxs and O Briens chance has been improved by Murtagh going to Oxxs.

I'm trying to have a pony @ 25/1 Sam James but setantabet are not the quickest with their customer service . He's a big price for someone who rode twenty odd winners last year and is getting better rides in his current role at Prendergasts and outside rides. Big talent and helped by the fact chris Hayes has been given the boot by Lady O'Reilly.

Same guy rode the winner of the 5.30? If so he looks pretty decent.

That's him. Winner number 5 for the season, 3rd in a handicap and second for an outside stable. 25/1 too big.

Good question. I'll give them massive credit for pricing it up but after trying for 5 hours to deposit a pony I've given up. I would really like the bet though.

Setantabet.com launch rescheduled for the 1st March

Setantabet.com would like to advise our future customers that the new Setantabet.com site will launch one month later than previously announced. The site will now launch on March 1st, 2010.
Michael O'Rourke, Co-Founder of Setanta Sports explained "We had fantastic feedback since we first launched the idea of Setantabet.com and have decided to incorporate some of the feedback as new functionalities in the site from day 1. Unfortunately this will delay the site launch until March 1st but we are confident that this will make Setantabet.com worth waiting for even more."
Setantabet.com is a joint venture between Setanta Sports and Malta based Chili Gaming. Setantabet.com will offer a full range of sports betting services together with poker and casino offerings. If you were looking at entering the Market folks - what would you do to differentiate yourselves or where are the angles to get noticed and take the Market?

Powers and Bet365 are great for the average punter-I'd imagine it would be pointless taking them on.
A bookmaker that guarantees you can get on for decent amounts but not at best price would be an angle.Anyone ever have any dealings with R Power.

The man with the pipe will certainly lay a decent bet in the ring, Luke.

I did notice that he wasn't giving much away when I was at Leopardstown over Christmas mind you.

As far as I know he will lay you telephone numbers and you will get paid promptly-he doesn't compete on price.
My brother was in Germany with his son (Paddy)in the early 90s and Paddy said his father could come home after a day at the races after losing 80 grand and he would sit down have his dinner and all was forgotten.

I was amazed when I found out that Dick was such a big player.I remember the old R Power offices-all they had was 4 walls, the Sporting Lige and a battleaxe of a manageress who would smoke at least 60 Woodbine a day.

That's interesting Martin.I have only ever heard of one person who bets with them-a wealthy landowner-presumably it's invitation only.

The reason David Power is markedly shorter than his counterparts in the ring is that when he often lays a sizeable bet to a client he is able to make it a winner back on the book by backing it at bigger prices around the ring.

The notion that he stands horses for sizeable amounts is nonsense. The fact is he is mainly a net backer of horses and that bookmaking nowadays is merely a hobby for him.
