Is there a fault with the link buttons or is it something to do with IE7?

When I click on the http:// button I get a message that says: Error! You must enter a URL. You must enter a title.

When I click on the IMG button I get a message that says: Error! You must enter a URL.

So I can progress no further with giving a name to a link nor posting a picture.

Help required.

It is an IE7 thing Brian. But it depends on your security settings.

When it does it a yellow bar will appear accross the top of your screen (underneath the address bar). Click on it and the option to "Temporarily allow scripted windows" will appear. Choose that, and then try to add the link again.

All should be fine.

Thanks, betsmate - you cracked it for me!

That is a perfect example of why this section should continue. There are some whizz kids on here who's technical advice is invaluable.

:o DAN nothing wrong with my politics mate, I can assure you? ;) (I have like most, made the occasional wrong quick response!!! but surely there's a lot who have done this on here???? even moderators??? :P ) an old socialist and a past member of the old Labour party too........ ;) been voting LIB DEM in local elections for past 3 yrs....its my way of protesting...... but I must speak as I find that they have got the Bronx cleaner than it ever was before under Labour....

I joined a Police PACT meeting 2 weeks ago and raised several problems that need to be rectified-addressed in this area........not as a member of a political party but as an individual-ratepayer..............I have the ability to converse so did just that to get my points of view over to the panel......

P.S. yes if I can help I certainly will.............I always have too!! to various people on here........ ;)

One member on here was in real trouble I sent a P-M asking them to send me the hard drive(they lived the other side of the U-K) so I could have fixed all the problem they had with it... postage would have been far cheaper than a so called I.T. service engineer, calling or taking your tower away and having a licence to print money when he hits you with the bill...........

Without emoticons and punctuation marks ????? :o :o

Diver's right, though - without the likes of Merlin and Betsmate and a few others on here, many wouldn't even be able to continue posting half the time!

Real IT whizzos...
