And that isn't a good thing.

I was stranded in Port Glasgow on Sunday due to train services being cancelled and I had to walk 4 miles to get back to where I was. Anyone remember Superman II where Clark Kent gives up his superpowers in order to live as a mortal and be with Lois Lane, only for General Zod to arrive on Earth and start causing serious havoc, resulting in Clark walking to the North Pole to get his powers back?

That's almost exactly what I did on Sunday night - only there were no superpowers in sight.

Anyway, I hate snow, it's freezing outside and it's bloody March! Where's the sun?

I remember working as a student during the Easter holidays, on a farm near Liff, just to the west of Dundee.

We were trying to dry jute salvaged from a mill fire. For the first few days there was snow and a northerly gale, one of my friends was carted off to hospital with pneumonia. It was hurtingly cold.

So I'd stay indoors until Guineas week.

This has to be the latest spring I can remember down here in Somerset - the grass hasn't even started to grow yet, which means silaging will be mid-June and everyone stressing out even more....

The mares are all hanging onto their foals and the cattle are also refusing to calve down....

Sunshine, brilliant blue skies and temperatures in the early to mid 20s here, getting warmer by the day.... B)

Off-and-on bright blue skies, sunny, to dull and overcast, to rain and wind. It just can't make its bloody mind up! Still need 4-5 layers to work at Plumpton, which feels like -3 degrees to 'outside' weather!
