Putting this in the racing topics instead of “what are you watching.”

Documentary following a group of guys who buy a racehorse which then wins at York. Not sure why it merited a documentary (might feel differently after watching it) but it doesn’t sound like a Dream Alliance type story. That said, it’s nice to have a racing themed subject on prime time tv.

Did anyone watch it? It was actually a pretty good documentary although the focus was more about men opening up to each other. It still showed the camaraderie to be had being involved in a syndicate. The horse cost £8,000 and has now won about £36,000 so a decent return and he’s still racing so should give them more fun.

I have it recorded and will watch soon having ceded control of the remote to Mrs Viking for Masterchef last night

I watched it - I reckon it was meant to be a showcase of men and their mental health, the racing was very much a background player ( IMO) it was nice though - and hearing how they all keep each other going was really lovely. If ITV wanted to showcase how ownership doesn’t have to cost a fortune and despite highs and lows they do so much more than going to the races I reckon they got it pretty much spot on.

As a side note- how pretty was that coloured they went and meditated with for the birthday weekend?!
