I've Made An Invention

Geezer,
Well, I've followed all the instructions to a "T", but the contraption just plummets to the ground every time I launch it. The flies are wing-beating furiously but cannot seem to gain any "lift". It's like an overloaded Hercules C-130.
Would wasps work better, do you think?

The little bastards must have been pigging out in your fridge

I've experimented with two wayward bees, and by golly, you should see that li'l beauty go! The inverted barrel roll was their best, and, inspired by their superb efforts, I've just phoned up the organisers of the Air Show (at Shoreham later this month) - I'm going to be entering an entire squadron in the aerobeetics section.

Meantime, after a good sup of Manuka honey, my impressive duo are now snug in the salad box of the fridge...

It's big enough, Jon!! Rather worryingly though it is looking very much like the leaning Tower of Pisa - the shelf it is sat on looks like it is collapsing with the effect that it is on around a 30 degree angle! I'm just worried that as the freezer is at the top, if it goes my bottle of vodka will be history once it hits the marble floor from such a height....
