That was some performance to keep Reposer out the frame brought back memories of the much missed d mckeown with the strength shown in the finish:blink:

That's as good as fanning is,anything from off the pace needing assistance in the saddle forget it you'll be lucky to find one example throughout the aw season where he wins one from off the pace in a driving finish he just isn't capable. You will see at least 2/3 examples of this every week on the aw from fanning, similarly George baker will be out the back getting unplaced on horses that should be placing at worst, great example of two jocks riding plenty of winners but aren't really that good..

I should add when I say,not good I don't necessarily think they are better or worse than 20 other jockeys just that they get hyped up because they are riding winners it still doesn't mean they aren't necessarily riding or making more mistakes % wise!I don't really take any notice of jockey bookings but what I do notice is if jocks are riding more than their fair share of dubious rides in short periods of time..

I have been watching fanning for a while now and your probably right he's just inept unless they have a stone in hand and a front running horse when he rides for Johnston its a toxic mix no idea what they are up too. I do swerve any short ones with that outfit ,last night though was a shocking effort from him!
