This is bizarre and looks like trying to blame the jockey for his own lousy season whilst Appleby has thrived . The supposed jockey to suit horses line is rightly pointed out by Cattermole in the SL site as bollocks as the three horses he has been mocked off over the next couple of days as all having won for Doyle and one ran like a drain for Buick .

I was very surprised he was seduced away from the Abdulla job - I imagine working with his best friend was an attraction but now his best friend is taking his rides .

Would not be surprised to see him get a big job elsewhere soon . How much longer for example will Stoute just want to play second fiddle to AOB for Moore no matter how great he is .

I dont think he is guilty of Suroors year

but find it amazing how this jockey has been jockey of abdullah and godolphin with the level he is

plenty of better jockeys riding in europe

2015
Bin suroor + J Doyle = A/E 1.02
Bin Suroor without Doyle = A/E 1.00

2016
Bin suroor + J Doyle = A/E 0.87
Bin Suroor without Doyle = A/E 0.60

looking at those figures..the true story should be that Doyle should dump suroor..not the other way round

its pretty clear comparing 2015 with 2016 that its the stable that hasn't done the business...not the jockey...a clear case of having to blame someone else for your own failings...arrogant and uneducated..can't believe in this day and age with the data we have that its even open to question where the problem lies here

Going back to Sunys point about a lot of better jocks than Doyle...i tend to use a good rating service and see how trainers and jocks perform with the top rated horse..it tends to eliminate biases of market etc... and you can simply judge each jock or trainer against the strike rate they achieve on the top rated horse in each race.

These are the turf figures since Sept 2014..the top rated horse on average should win 23% of races as the benchmark...jock must have gained 15 or more top rated wins to make the list
