Jeremy Hindley's death from Motor Neuron Disease reported in the last hour or so on Racing Post. A trainer of up to 700 race wins his top horses included The Go_ Between, Swell Fellow, Huntingdale and Protection Racket.
May he rest in peace.

I was sorry to hear this. A good friend of mine died of motor neurone disease and it's a horrible way to go. I rated Hindley as a trainer and reading the piece on the Post site brought back to mind a few names I'd half-forgotten: He Loves Me, Star Pastures, Don Martino, Orojoya and Meistersinger were all horses I remember backing and Coed Cochion was a winner for me on my first ever day at the races, the Tuesday of the 1976 York Ebor Meeting. And don't accuse me of aftertiming - I posted it up on here the morning of the race.

Tony Kimberley was his stable jockey for a number of years and I think he gave Michael Hills some decent rides when Hills was just setting out.

He was one of those trainers that when you saw his name on a race card your immediate reaction was to have a good hard look at the runner, because you knew he was very good at his job and anything he ran demanded respect

Condolences to his family and friends

RIP

Before my time but reading the RP article he sounds like a superb trainer. MND is an unimaginibly cruel disease which claimed my dad at the age of 60.

RIP
