John Hills RIP

Pancreatic cancer is an absolute batsard of a cancer. I lost a close friend (aged 50) to it about three years ago. It seems that once it has been diagnosed as a result of symptoms it is very difficult to treat successfully as by that time it is already very advanced.

It seems most survivors had the cancer found by chance, usually when being checked for other things.

53 is no age. Sad news.

Terrible shame - lost my boss to it about 6 yrs ago - devestating as its so hard to diagnose and then its usually too late. The doctors thought it was cholesterol to start with and treated him for that for a few months.

Shockingly young age for a family to lose someone at 53 - thoughts with them all.
