Officials have confirmed John McCririck taken to Cheltenham General Hospital after suddenly being taken ill at the races
 
No,exactly. No matter what people think of him - theres a difference between that and wanting him to be ill.

Not least cos I bet hes an utter nightmare to nurse !!
 
Please delete that first comment, Tanlic. You're a wise enough head to know about what you should say when its nothing good in these circumstances.

Without eccentric figures like John, nut jobs like me would have packed the game in a long time ago. He is the spirit of true grit especially now that it has become a pussy-graduate-degree and silver-spoon in mouth sport.

Whatever the reasons why insiders hate John he is what he is and how many broadcasters can we say that about???

At least he could raise an emotion, love laughter or hate.

McCririck is a deliberately controversial guy who has lied through his teeth and insulted people openly in front of as big an audience he can muster to further his career .

I find it amusing he faints in the middle of the biggest circus in town and his wife's first thought is to tell nearby reporters it's because of the stress caused by the pending court case against his ex employers. Then an hour later he's telling the doctor she's going home there's nothing wrong with him.......which incidentally I read before I posted the above or I would never have done so.

If they guy was really sick that would be another matter but you guys are making out like I said something bad about a guy on his death bed..........grow up and get agrip

Must admit, my first thought when I saw the opening post was "Wonder how close to the cameras he was, when he did it?".:)
