Bjork and Prince should be shot for a lot more reasons than producing poxy Mitchell tribute songs.

There is a Leondard Cohen tribute album out as well, which I thought was pretty well done. I havent heard of the Joni Mitchell tribute songs so I cant really comment.

Jennifer Warnes did a songs of Leonard Cohen album 20 years ago called 'Famous Blue Raincoat'. It was done with his blessing and is seriously good. They almost called it 'Jenny Sings Lenny'.
Having bought the first few Joni Mitchell albums on vinyl when originally released, I listened with interest to the piece on Front Row and have to agree that most of what was played was dire although the James Taylor snippet sounded ok. They said that there was a kd lang track and she's certainly done some very respectable covers of Joni Mitchell songs in the past.
