Delight and disappointment in equal measure at Punchestown yesterday. Chacun Pour Soi made the heart sing, but Envoi Allen and Monkfish were damp squibs. Mind you, Colreevy flashed across the screen as a market mover just before the off so it wasn’t altogether unexpected.

Tracker horse today was Jumby, but he’s a non-runner (He was going to be up against it anyway if Supremacy turned up ready.)

Jumby has won over 7fur and run respectably over 1mile so it was interesting that Eve JH started him off over 6fur at Newmarket recently. It was a really good run to come through to 3rd closing all the way to the line in what was a fast race. Jumby started slowly and was held towards the rear, he ran along well but was repeatedly denied a clear run until things opened up for him with a furlong left. He finished strongly and finished full of running. Worth keeping in mind.
