Nice to see some old friends re-appearing as well as the new kids on the block.

Chepstow

1:42 Tuddenham Green looked like a good recruit to the the juvenile hurdle ranks, despite the occasional iffy jumping. He can feature in more of these.

2:17 some old friends in this one, but only Tea Clipper looked up for it. Favourite, but just thwarted by an invader from the emerald isles. He’s ready to go.

3:27 They are trying Flic ou Voyou over fences again after last season’s disappointment, but can’t get carried away by the win since the fav fell and hampered the second at the last when challenging.

4:02 Knappers Hill was reportedly targeted for this and showed it with a smooth winning performance. I suspect we won’t see much more of him over hurdles now.

Meanwhile at Hexham

3:34 Paddy the Horse set a decent standard in this and won well to continue his late season promise. However, it was the the second home Snipe who caught the eye on his debut run. Raced towards the rear, always looking comfortable and finished quite strongly into second. Reckon he will be a player next time.
