A good card this weekend, worthy of a thread in its entirety.

Deep Trouble is an outstanding bet in the Tolworth.

Champion Court could go well though it depends on being back to his best.

I must be missing something with Deep Trouble Marble.

Up against the likes of Irving, The Liquidator, Garde La Victoire et al, not to mention a bunch of largely unknowns, what do you think makes him an outstanding bet ?

He won his handicap from a mark of 125 and had previously been beaten at Cheltenham - albeit by a potentially decent enough horse - and at Southwell by an 8yo chaser

I can't see past Irving personally.

He has the same grandsire as my favourite jump horse of all time Sizing Europe, not a bad hurdler himself, and it would be great to see a little trainer like Ben Case develop this horse. His sire Shantou not a bad jumps sire either. I think however they price him up he may out-run his perceived chance.

That's how I view him, maybe a bit of loyalty to Mandulas creeping in! Could not discriminate him for winning the last time, he's an outstanding bet because he's an outstanding bet.

Could be something or nothing, but the two previous winners of the JLT Handicap Chase at the Festival (Golden Chieftain & Alfie Sherrin) ran on this card, GC in the 3m Handicap & AS in the 2m4f Handicap, both finishing unplaced before going onto Festival glory.

Logic (including other people's logic) will never assure independent citizens who bet on horse racing profit.
I follow my own math, don't apologize for this. TWO bets today on the Backing thread maybe you would like to challenge the logic when they float past the winning line AND make myself and I a profit? !!
