Hi Guys,
11h10 Paper Trail 9/2. Ran very wide and pulling last start and if settles today will be a big runner. Has beaten Star Captain by over 2L & Fort Red the danger to my selection has beaten Double Charge. My selection has more scope for improvement and hoping runs a better race today. Having 2nd run after gelding.
11h45 Sovereign Rose 2/1 BEST BET. Her last run she was taking out on the rail when asked to challenge by the winner. Dropping to 1200m will suit and Glitter In Gold although 1st run was good that was over 1400m and not sure that this drop in trip will suit. She had Ohwhatanight 0.5L in front but that being her 1st run should turn that even though the drop in distance is a worry. My selection has run 1000m before last run and this should be a perfect race to win.
12h20 Knights Templar 7/2. Needed last run and ran pretty well over 1600m which is too short. Now going over 1800m this should be perfect plus 2nd run after rest should be a lot fitter today. Stable companion Myhopesanddrerams(fav) is a danger but got a 6 pound penalty for his win and this 1800m is first time. Cane Lime 'n Soda i think will be a place runner with my selection which will pay well for forecast. The last time he ran in a handicap was way back in Oct 2019 which he won off a 2 pounds higher rating. Sudden Star is hiked up the ratings and think the handicapper has him now and will struggle with these.
13h30 Rosemary Meadow 2/1. Big runner today, if you watch her last start she was caught up in the stalls and then when they jumped she lost 4L. She still managed to run on behind Regina Isabella 1.5L and if my selection was not slow she would have probably won. Do Angels Cry was back in 4th so again my selection should beat these. Magnetic Dime is the only unknown here being out of a Oratario stallion she will enjoy the extra here and she could be a big improver.
14h45 Bold Diva 9/2. Difficult race but my selection i think will enjoy this 1800m compared to 2000m and the way he runs his race this change of course will suit. He is a course/dist winner and has a good draw. Rewrite The Stars will lead and make the pace for my selection being a stable companion this will probably be the tactics. Elusive Fortune is now going up the handicap so will find this more difficult and has to give my selection 8.5kg.
15h20 Faye 20/1 ROUGHIE TIME. Now she has gone off form a bit and has a bad draw so would have been more confident if better drawn, but does come from behind so hopefully this appie can get her over before the turn. What reallt catches my eye is the drop in ratings, from a 79 to a 70 and now gets a 4kg claim which effectively puts her at a 62. Thats 17 pounds lower and has run to stronger a 83 ave rated finishing 2nd carrying 56.5kg compared to this race ave 79 but carrying 53kg. So at a good price I think she will run a big race as long she is ridden properly and given every chance to try.
