A place lay at around 1/2 looks a cheap way of taking him on, given that he may well refuse to race altogether.

When I saw 4-6 last night I thought it was Christmas not Easter.Less then 2 weeks since the festival and the horses deserved reputation makes him a max lay in my opinion.

It will be fascinating to see whether AP can persuade him to put his best foot forward .

Has to be a back at 1.89 now. Regardless of what antics he has in his locker, the odds more than relfect the chances of these coming out.

This is a big bet for me at the prices. Mccoy hopefully will persuade him to put it in.

It's a fair point. His form claims would have him as a 1/3 chance, or even shorter.

I have laid him at 1.85 for my max.The price is theoretically good but I wouldn't underestimate the fact that are at the end of a long hard season and it's less then 2 weeks since he raced at the festival.
Unfortunately due to family committments I couldn't take a late lunchband will be watching on the Betfair iPhone app.

Looks like I got the price wrong-now 1.75 and only going to get shorter due to last 4 favs winning.part of me wants to top up if he goes 4-6 but the sensible part says there will be a lot of opportunities in the next 10 days .

Thats why he is a big bet for me had him as at least a 1/3 shot on form so 4/5 is massive. Not confident though probably wont even jump off!

Can definitely see both sides of argument, that's why I'm sitting it out. I'd be more annoyed if he throws it away and I'd taken 1.8 than I will be if he wins as his form allows without a penny on.

Plenty more opportunities this summer for me to do my dough!

If only they were all that easy - won hard held. 1.89 must have been bet of the season.

Edited to say I think that is the first winner I've backed since Cheltenham!

I am not in the least surprised - AP was the one reason why laying the horse was a big risk . Oldsters may remember Lester on the Flat frequently nursing talented monkeys home on the flat .

Magical stuff from AP- always hept him interested and happy.

Joins Zaarito and Psycho as the worst results of the season for me.Ever the optimist I look forward to laying him at 2-7 in a novice chase.

There will be probably be other opportunities this season Luke where he actually has to 'race' to win the race. The Albert Bartlett and the supposed ridding of his dog-like tendancies will mean he will go off at a not too big price next time out.

Interestingly though he was well clear of The Minor at Kempton and otherwise he refused at Warwick - neither when he was under pressure . He ran about a bit late on at Cheltenham but he cannot be criticised for his Cheltenham efforts or his Newbury run .
