Spartacus still lives he's 2000 leagues under the sea and reached 100 years of age on the 9th of December........Happy Birthday to Kirk Douglas a real kewl dude :)
 
I never took to him as a kid going to the local fleapit to see films like Spartacus, The Vikings, The War Wagon, etc and I best remembered him as the butt of impersonations by Frank Gorshin - the guy who played the Joker in the original Batman TV series - but I've caught up on a number of his films in the last couple of decades and I have to say he was a very talented actor.
