Let Me Be The First

Hmmmm noticed a few Christmassy things in Sainsburys today. I contemplated buying some mince pies, so I've been sucked in already

Merry Christmas to you too :D

Fontwell's been advertizing its Christmas parties since last month. Last year, I found all local hostelries, from pubs to hotels, fully booked up for Christmas Day lunches by this time, with only the prospect of being put on a waiting list.

Oh, please. I read this thread thinking "nah, gonna ignore this until at least the PP - that's the most important forthcoming event". Reading one thread later & an email lands in my inbox asking for suggestions on where to hold the department Christmas Party & naming a date for it with organisation now under way.

The local radio station has been running ads for Christmas party nights in local establishments for about a month now.

Big party nights in hotels like the Hilton, etc can be great fun, but you need a good crowd.
