Lingfield

Pretty poor...

1:10 Lingfield Park Sporting Membership Maiden Stakes Cl5 1m2f
1:40 Golf At Lingfield Park Handicap Cl4 1m2f
2:15 lingfieldpark.co.uk Classified Claiming Stakes Cl6 7f
2:50 Betdaq The Betting Exchange Claiming Stakes Cl6 5f
3:25 betdaqextra.com Handicap Cl6 5f
4:00 Marriott Hotel Opening Spring 2010 Handicap Cl4 5f

I could probably guess half of the runners in the 3.25 and 4.00 now!

Doubt it,he rarely ventures away from Southwell on the AWT.

One consolation is that Krizon would be likely to be on duty.

Peter Grayson would probably have at least six entered in both of those class 6's I would have thought Gamla.

Peter Grayson once famously trained all the runners in a sprint at Lingfield. If that happened tomorrow, he'd probably manage to lose it. There's a rumour going round that he doesn't actually exist but has been invented by Alan Berry to make him look good.

Still tempted - I didnt think the quality would be great but it sure would beat sitting indoors being bored!

I have met him - and his girlie, when they came to look at a mare here (dam of one of his very few winners...). Very weird - he bought the foal, got her into the St Leger by obviously guaranteeing DBS he's buy her back for a minimum of £30k odd, which he did. She would have been worth buttons.... and has been useless.

Alan Berry makes everyone look good. :)

I am scheduled to work that day, although not for all meetings, like the rest of the raceday staff. With so many fixtures, the management likes to 'rest' us for a few each month. I've PM'd you, Bally.

Sure is! Look forward to meeting you on the 29th, Ballydoyle, all being well weatherwise, with a following wind, God willing, etc., etc.! :D

So far God is willing, the purse is full (ish!) and the thermals are all ready!

And promise not to walk up and demand tickets in the name of Bally Doyle!

Interesting to see Hayley T on Garstang who should be ready to rock 'n' roll after a couple of recent of spins on fibresand.

No Grayson runners!!

Seven races with small fields, but it'll be interesting to see the debuts of a number of 3 y.o.'s. Look forward to meeting you, Ballydoyle. Ahgowangowan, tell my colleague you're Lady Ballydoyle and see how she responds!

Just got back in (met hubby at Victoria and he treated me to dinner ;)) but I have to say a HUGE thank you to Krizon for arranging the ticket and more importantly the coffee! He was over the moon that I managed to harrass lovely young Hayley for her autograph to make up for leaving him to work all day hehe.

No winners but a nice 2nd in the opener helped. Picked the winner of the last but backed the other horse I fancied as I was down to win only bets! Oh well maybe next time!

As soon as photobucket loads I will post some boring photos!

So pleased you had a good day, Lady Ballydoyle! :D Well done for braving first the rain, then the bitter cold from 3.00 pm, followed by a dainty dusting of sleet! Now that you know where we are, I do hope you can visit again soon.

I'm planning on doing my first jumps card at Lingers a week Monday, have been to plenty of flat meets there over the years but never a jumps card.
Of course they have scaled down the jumps meets these days especially with the weather leading to a few abandonments, let's hope this isn't one of them.
Whenever I think of jumps cards there course specialist Tickerty's Gift is the first horse that springs to mind.

It's a very kind course, Arkers. There's a long sloping run up and down before turning for home, but nothing like the sharp downhill run and uphill climb to the finish you find at so many NH courses. The turns are pretty easy, so overall a pleasant track for any horse, particularly debutant(e)s.
