7 enormous concerts using thousands of lights and speakers to try and raise awareness of being responsible about - among other things - electricity usage?

Yes, quite seriously, these 'conservation theme' bashes probably use up several trees printing off the bumpf to advertise them and invite special guests, and then, as you say, o/b, use up millions of gegawatts putting the darn things on! It's on a par with lavish black-tie dinners intended to highlight world poverty and hunger.
