"Teatime" - in America?  Heads, you'd get some pretty strange looks if you came up with that one in Arkansas!  Cookies, with milk for kids and coffee for Mom and Pop, in the morning.  Cookies with coffee, as a snack - any time.  There's little concept of 'tea' in the US, let alone one of 'teatime', although, bless 'em, they do try to do what they think passes for 'English tea' by putting hot (not boiling) water into a cold teapot occasionally.   :(   Biscuits are what they eat with savoury meals - and they're nothing like biscuits, either, they're more like an unsweetened scone!
