London Underground

Do you mean Temple in EC4?

Whichever way you go you're going to get ripped off.
I think the minimum tube fare in central London is £4, even if you are only going one stop. A taxi will cost more, but it shouldn't be a lot more, and they can take you right inside.

If you want to go by train, you get on the northern line at Euston, and get a southbound train to Embankment, when you come out of embankment station with the river facing you, turn left and temple is up on your left.

A taxi will be the least bother.

Make sure you get the Charing Cross branch of the Northern Line, rather than the Bank branch (both leave from Euston off different platforms), Southbound to Embankment as Ted says. Then you can either come out and walk, or stay down and switch to the Eastbound District Line - Temple is one stop up.

Not sure how much it costs without an Oyster card, but it should take about 15 mins.
